Miss America Olivo was born in Van Nuys, California on January 5th, 1978. America is a very talented singer, dancer and actress. She graduated High School at age 16 and attended the California Institute of the Arts, but later transfered to the world renouned Julliard School in New York. In 1998, her and long time friend Aurora Rodriguez decided to start a high energy singing and dance group. After bringing Jessica Castellanos and Christina "T" Lopez aboard, the group Soluna was born. The group put out several singles and one album that made it's way to the Billboard charts in 2002. The foursome took a hiatus in 2004 to try their hands at solo careers. America is by far doing the best at that. She has several singles out and is currently persuing a lucrative acting career. In 2007, America completed features titled The Last Resort and Love Shack. In 2008, she was featured in the DVD release of The Thirst: Blood War. Olivo's 2009 theatrical releases in leading roles are action/comedy Bitch Slap and Michael Bay’s new remake of Friday the 13th. She has also appeared a guest star on many TV shows including House, M.D., General Hospital, How I Met Your Mother, Jake In Progress, Cuts, and General Hospital.
